Under the patronage of the President of the University of Tikrit, Prof. Waad Mahmood Raoof,
and under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamad Abdullah, Dean of the College of Petroleum Process Engineering,
The College of Petroleum Process Engineering, in collaboration with the College of Islamic Sciences and the Center for Continuing Education at the University Presidency, organized a scientific seminar entitled: “Countering Terrorism: Between State Strategy and Community Awareness.”
This seminar comes as part of the college’s academic activities aimed at promoting a culture of community awareness, enhancing the integration between state institutions and universities, and highlighting the role of citizens in supporting the state’s developmental and reform-oriented approaches.
The seminar was presented by:
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Ziyad Khalaf Hammoud – College of Islamic Sciences
- Lecturer Qutaiba Hameed Mohammed – College of Petroleum Process Engineering
- Asst. Lecturer Zubbar Hassan Shummel – College of Petroleum Process Engineering
The speakers addressed several key themes, including:
- The concept of state strategy in managing social and developmental issues
- The importance of community awareness in reducing negative phenomena and supporting state institutions
- The university’s role in disseminating awareness and fostering integration with society
The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion session between the speakers and attendees, during which questions and contributions were raised, reflecting the participants’ interest in the topic and its significance within the contemporary Iraqi context.
